Catholic Charities Schuylkill County John Mentzel Padua Program Fund

The fund is created in memory of John Mentzel. The fund supports the socialization, spiritual activities, and social services for older adults, and program operations in Schuylkill County associated with Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Allentown, including but not limited to the following: Holiday celebrations (i.e., Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mardi Gras, Veteran’s Day, Easter); Prime Time Club trips (i.e., Padre Pio Shrine, St. Rita of Cascia Shrine, Sight and Sound Theater); Training – fraud prevention, internet safety, fall prevention; Provide Catholic spiritual materials (such as bibles, rosaries, prayer books, missals, scapulars); Annual Schuylkill County Prime Time Mass and Luncheon; Transportation for seniors to and from the Prime-Time Club meeting/event as needed; and Prayer Cards, Greeting Cards/Mass Cards for seniors to mark milestones such as birthdays, anniversaries, and feast days.
