The Gift of Catholic Education
As we approach September 15th and the start of Hispanic Heritage Month, it is important to acknowledge the valuable contributions that the Hispanic community has made. The Catholic Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania is leading the way in making a difference in the lives of students.
The Hispanic Scholarship Endowment Fund provides tuition support to students who are interested in enrolling in Catholic elementary and secondary schools within the Diocese of Allentown. This fund provides access to quality education and gives young people the opportunity to receive a unique and enriching educational experience that can benefit them for a lifetime.
The fund was started under the leadership of former Allentown Bishop John Barres. Bishop Barres had a strong interest in the Hispanic community and wanted Hispanic youth to experience the benefits of Catholic education.
Education is a powerful tool that can change lives and transform communities. By investing in the future of our youth, we can make a real difference in the lives of young people and help them achieve their dreams.
Hispanic Heritage Month and the Catholic Foundation
The Hispanic community has made significant contributions to our Church and our Catholic schools. Let us come together to celebrate their heritage, honor their legacy, and invest in forever.
